The International Conference on

Quantum Phenomena in Complex Matter,

of the series on

Stripes and High Tc Superconductivity

will be held in

Erice – Italy,

from July 26 (arrival) to August 1 (departure), 2008

at the Ettore Majorana Foundation and Centre for Scientific Culture

Stripes08 continues the successful series of International Conferences held in Rome during (1996), (1998), (2000) and (2004), (2006)  following the high degree of interest of the community in this field focusing on:

Striped phases in highly correlated electronic systems
Phase separation
Striped phases in complex materials
Anisotropic superconductors
Competion between CDW and superconductivity
Quantum condensates in ultracold fermion gases
Feshbach shape resonances in superlattices
Photoinduced phase transitions
Quantum size effects and quantum coherence
Polaron liquids
Pairing mechanisms.
Quantum phase transitions
Manganites
Intercalated graphite and graphene
Complex materials

  • A post deadline session will be organized at the Erice meeting STRIPES08 on
doped quaternary iron arsenide rare earth oxides, AOFeAs (A=rare earth),
dopedLaFeAsO, NdOFeAs, …. that have recently reached a record of the
superconducting critical temperature Tc of 53K.
The authors are expected to submit an abstract on ROFeAs superconductors
    before may 30th.
